TJ Cloutier is a Texas based poker player that was born in 1939. In 2006 he became part of the Hall of Fame of Poker.

TJ loves to play poker in tournaments and he specializes in it, mostly in Pot Limit and No Limit Hold’em. Currently, only he was able to win WSOP events of three different Omaha types (including Limit High and Pot Limit High). He has six bracelets from the World Series during his entire career, plus many other wins at all kinds of games of poker.

On four separate occasions he finished in top 5 at WSOP main event tables. On two occasions was actually runner-up. The first time was in 1985, when he was runner-up to Bill Smith and the second time was in 2000, when the winner was Chris Ferguson. The other two final table finishes were in 1988, when he finished 5^th, the winner being Johnny Chan, and in 1998, on 3^rd place, when the winner was Scotty Nguyen.

When it comes to the largest number of finishes at final tables during the World Series, Cloutier ranks second, with 39 presences, the first one being Phil Hellmuth, which has 41. He also has 55 finishes in the money at the World Series, which makes him rank on 5^th place in that category.

A player at WPT events, TJ also has a finish in 3^rd place during Legends of Poker 2003, which was won by Judah Mel.

The total winnings from live tournaments reached $9.7 million in 2009. Out of these, his World Series finishes in the money brought him $4,324,186.

The first bracelet won by TJ Cloutier came from the Limit Omaha Hi event during the 1987 WSOP. His prize was $72k. In 1994 he won another two bracelets and the prizes were $135k and $163k. The next three bracelets came in 1998, 2004 and 2005.
